The Urdu Department at S.V.P College, Bhabua, established in 1957, is dedicated to the study and appreciation of Urdu literature. Our curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects, including fiction (Dastan, novel, short stories, drama), non-fiction (Inshaiya - light essay, Khakanigari - biography, Mazmunnigari - essay), poetry (ghazal, nazm, marsiya, masnavi, rubai), translation (tarjumanigari), prose, drama, literary criticism, the history of Urdu literature etc. Our goal is to preserve the rich legacy of Urdu while fostering an environment that encourages both traditional and modern approaches to literary studies. With a dedicated team of faculty, we provide our students with a comprehensive education that helps them understand and appreciate the depth and beauty of Urdu literature.
