Path breaking milestone of the department:
· One of our most significant milestones is the establishment of the ‘Aatm Deepo Bhav Anand Club’ dedicated to cultivate positive mental health, happiness and resilience among students, teachers and administrative staff. Named after the Sanskrit word for "bliss," the Anand Club offers a variety of activities and resources designed to foster psychological resilience, stress management, and interpersonal connections among students, faculty, and staff. From mindfulness meditation and neurolinguistics programming sessions to peer support groups, the Anand Club provides a welcoming space for individuals to explore strategies for enhancing their emotional and psychological flourishing.
· A workshop on ‘feel happy: I am a master of my thought’ conducted in Nov. 2022 is also a landmark step towards the journey of transformation and flourishment.
· Through our research we have not only contributed to the scientific understanding of mindfulness and happiness but also developed evidence-based interventions that have positively impacted countless individuals' lives.
· Celebration of days like International Suicide Preventation Day shows our empathetic concern to community and good practice of psychological knowledge.
